Anyone know what this fault message means. Thanks.

Think it means it knackered

Think it is knackered. Ryder mechanic hadn’t seen that warning before either. It started shuddering when pulling away and gears were going in with a clunk, so its back in the yard waiting for someone to come and have a look at it now.

The clutch thinks it can fly…but it cant !! :stuck_out_tongue:

Normally it’s either the clutch or the valve on the side of the box that operates the release bearing.

Is this the usual Ryder give up and call out Renault Service 24

Pretty much so. Ryder fitter came out to the yard to look at it. Fault has cleared from the dash and he can’t find anything wrong with it. We’ve just to run it and see what happens. It trunks from Glasgow to Leicester at night and I can see them not making it there and back.

Fault is…it is French

Occasionally you can get that if the air runs low as it hasn’t quite got enough pressure to operate the clutch correctly. Sometimes when they stall in gear after a lot of shunting about and when you pump the air back up to get it back into neutral it displays that for a while afterwards.

…its only an amber warning light !!.. crack on drive !!

If that’s the only warning light you have on you are doing well in a Renault!

Its the only warning light that has come on in the 2 years of driving it. Been faultless so far.

The warning had gone by the time Ryder came out to it. Checked it and couldn’t find any faults. Done its trunk last night and didn’t come on with the night men. Driving ok with me today too. Must have just been a wee glitch.

I’ve had this before, and it slowly started to deteriorate. It started by not mating the engine power to the gearbox properly, and so when pulling off it felt as if the clutch was an “on-off” switch, and it became jerky. It got worse and worse. Then one day on a motorway junction the lights turned green, I put my foot on the accelerator, and nothing happened. No revs, no gear - nothing. I got it going after 5 minutes but it happened once or twice more. It got fixed soon after that.

You may notice it’ll get jerky on pull-offs soon. Enjoy your low speed maneuvering.

It means buy a gallon of petrol and a box of matches and I’m sur you know what to do. Then go buy your self a daf

That’ll teach you to wee on the switches.

Warning came back on this afternoon. Went to pull away from a roundabout, and there was a delay that would have made a AS tronic box look good. Done my next drop, and when I put it in drive, it took about 10 seconds to select a gear. Definitely something wrong, but unfortunately Ryder won’t do much about it until it gives up completely and probably needs towed home.

Our mob have just put 12 new CFs on the road, and I’d have to honestly say that I would take an ERF before I would take the CF. Horrible trucks. 6 of them need to go in and get their windscreens resealed!!! Water pouring in and the wind noise coming through the gaps is unbearable. I know where my matches and petrol would go.

Are the DAFs the Euro 5 or 6?
