Photos of two of our three Bedford SB petrols registered in 1953. The first is a body, which was clumbsy and basic effort by I beleive Blakes of Manchester. The second built like a battleship by Spurlings (Spurlings ha exibited a Bedford o Model 5 tonner with their bodywork at 1948 Commercial Motor Show). The final which was the best was by Marsden of Warrington(Unfortunatly I don’t have a photo of this van. They wre massive for their day, Because of the good coachbilding by Marsden we tended to use there work predominantly and our only complaint was the slow delivery of the finnished vans. At one time mid sixties for about 15 years we always had a chassis of some make with them being completed.The last was a Bedford that was exibited ar Earls Court in Commercial Motor Show I beleve 1982

its going well thanks mate, a year is nearly up gone sooo quick only 2 more to go haha could do with a lil pay rise though haha, who ya doing yours with mate??

I’m doing it with the local college and my work-placement is where our lorries go for servicing. I have my final GCSE’s next week so i’ll be pleased to get them out of the way!
