Remote control by drivers seat

Anybody know the correct name for this thing? The panel on a curly cord that alters suspension and other things I mean.

Also, does anybody have a guide of what all the buttons do?

I thought all controls of that type are called ‘Wander leads’.

This is about the most common type of remote air suspension control.

  • The top centre button switches it on (top centre light comes on).
  • The up/down arrows raise and lower the suspension.
  • The green button sets the height to normal/road height.
  • M1 and M2 buttons are used to memorise set heights.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42197&p=472760 any help?

Thanks for clearing that up everyone, and thanks for that link Rog.

Surprising how simple something is after it’s explained.

If I was ordering the part I’d call it an ECAS pad/control unit which is it’s technical name (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension).

50/50 the parts department will know what you mean - so usually suspension control pad and people will know what you mean.

Whatever you do, DO Not Press the M2 Button

:stuck_out_tongue: :grimacing:

why?

You might be happily chugging along the M8 in Scotland, next thing you know youre in Kent :open_mouth:

I’ve set my M1 button for the lowest setting, so as soon as I want to unload I just hit M1 and it will sit down so that the rear legs just touch the ground when I lower my ramps.

M2 is full height, handy for stopping the beavertail scraping on weighbridges and steep ramps etc.
