Scania v8 4-series 480, R500, R560, R580 and R620 all have the same 16L engine. Obviously they all have different software in the EMS and the 620 has a bigger turbo.
I always remap my trucks, and i only use one guy for the job, he has done 3 for me, and they have been spot on, he also does a full engine check, resets the top end, and a fits a new (genuine) air and fuel filter, i am sure you know who he is.

i would hazard a guess, it would be the same fella that Gobby uses, him from Ashby
We had our Scania 380 chipped as at full weight was well lacking, it’s now much better, running around 440-450 I believe.
The motor was bought second hand, it was the right tool, with a great crane, just a small engine.

there is a few more things diffrent on the 16l lump for a quick example 480 no waste gate… 580 has a waste gate god i am getting like hanky spanky now with pointless posts

Different cooling systems too, don’t forget 
The Daf is the same, the old 12.6 ltr engines were the same at 340/380/430/480 but the 530 had a bigger radiator
