I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to the Ramage driver who overtook me on the M11 northbound, just before Bar-Hill this evening about 7.00pm, you know what I am on about, you could not fail to see my lights flashing like ■■■■, when you nearly took my offside mirror off, by pulling in, as your middle axle trailer wheel, was in line with my mirror, you ■■■■, I had to pull into the hard shoulder to avoid a collision, when you get back to your yard, take a walk up and down your trailer a couple of times, and you might get a rough idea how long the barsteward is, ■■■■■■■■■
Yeh, relaxing xfmatt, just annoys you, when you know you are professional enough to respect other road users, but we are faced with some right richard craniums who think they are good drivers and are not.

Grumbo, read your post, why would I flash him in if he was not past me yet, I only flashed like ■■■■■ when he nearly hit me, and deltrotter, I cast no stone, but I am a good driver, been at it 35 years and always ready to help anyone who needs it.

I know mate, these acts of stupidity used to be something that only happened once in a blue moon but its becoming an everyday occurrence nowadays. I’ve only been driving hgv for nearly 6 years (I’m 26) but ive been around wagons and farm machinery all my life so I do think that stands me in good stead. I must admit its hard to believe how some drivers get a licence for a car never mind a wagon when you see their behaviour!
It sounds obvious but a reg plate check,time of incident note and eventual contact with the drivers company is the way to go.
I’ve stopped bottling white hot rage on health grounds but instead cold- bloodedly pursue the offending drivers transport office bods and give them the fruits of my displeasure in such a way that there can be no doubts the offender will be receiving one serious hammering,I even threaten legal vosa action if no apology is forthcoming.The only problem of course is if the offenders truck has no name or number; but not in this case where your concerned it would appear?

No offence but if you were in a car, why were you going slow enough to let a truck overtake? Really boils my ■■■■ when car drivers plod along at 53 or so. Chances are they’ll speed up and hold me there while I’m overtaking, at least sit at 60 you plebs.

I beg to differ. I drive an 18t LF at work. I am licenced for Artics but decided when the job was offered that I could slum it for a year or two. Besides, I have very little rigid experience so I look at it as a chance to develop as a driver.
I cant properly predict what a Rigid will do If I have never driven one except for my test can it?
Im quite enjoying the work, 8 drops a day-ish, plenty of time to get the work done. I’m not a lover of the LF with the fold down bunk! But our new vehicles are on order apparently.

Grow up for ***** sake. Whilst I agree there are times I’d want to let the culprit’s TM know what a pleb he employs there would be know way on this planet I’d try to convince him that I’m also a pleb.
