6k ? You would need an indecent picture of me with a sheep to get that.
Harry Monk:
OK, I’ll ask him on Monday. They won’t be cheap though, I seem to recall he sold the last one for £6,000, he’s sold three or four to the same bloke who restores them for the truck show circuit.
Harry don’t tell anyone but there’s a rebel underground following out there who are buying the things to use to actually haul freight around because they know that it’s a better idea than buying a flat and a curtainsider.

Carryfast wouldn’t touch the Mack
Fixed that.
Total piece of junk that should be weighed in for scrap.Just like flat trailers.
As a tilt.
As a flat.
In fairness to this trailer I earned a fortune with it & abused it dreadfully over the years, I sold it for a song in 2007 as a flat & did’nt scrap the tilt body untill January last year
Carryfast, bless You for posting on here but You really are a bob end are’nt ya & although I appreciate Your a Troll a part of Me wants to believe You wanna pull a tilt on general

I rest my case.
Don’t worry if I was a troll, which I’m not, then I’d tell you.For the umpteenth zb time I did pull a tilt on general and it worked just fine and, like in your case,it earned it’s keep and then some.
Which just leaves the question what type of bob end would buy that piece of kit for a song and then let you keep the tilt structure to scrap it.
I did years on tilts and I’d say they are fine for long-distance Euro work where you might load and tip once a week, although I’m sure we have all experienced the same sense of amazement and mild jealousy when we first saw a Dutchman pull back the roof of a Euroliner in five seconds flat.

Ironically my only experience of using them was no further than Birmingham doing multi collection/drop gerneral work but I was happy because most of the time I was using it just like a curtainsider and the guvnor was happy because he could use it for flat type jobs when needed which luckily, for me,wasn’t very often.
It went to a dealer Carryfast, He told Me tilts where worthless, I agreed & took His money & then had a Brucey bonus some years later when the scrap prices went up it sometimes pays to keep it zipped eh?

I’d bet there’s some unfortunate driver who was probably lumbered with using that as a flat roping and sheeting on jobs where it could have been used just like a curtainsider who was cursing whoever it was who’d kept all the tilt gear to make a few extra bob by weighing it in for scrap.

Nice trailer Mr C , versatility is the name of the game , we pulled tilts out of Felixstowe for European Road Cargo on UK work so all those wallies who say they are only good for long distance Euro work at just recycling cack they have read before
You have given some stirling advice to the newbie OD but as they say you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink , a fool and his money etc
