Reliance Motors were from Sale - or at least originally from there IIRC,they did a lot of work out of Shell Chemicals at Carrington as well as Stanlow. They were quite a big concern but don’t know what happened to them.

Reliance Tankers were swallowed up into TDG and Linkman

Shouldn’t take him too long to jog over to that blokes house!

I think I will be there next year for a couple or three weeks Chris, staying with a friend in Douglas. just organising it now.

I worked with a fella at Henry Johnsons in the 70’s who got a start with Reliance Tankers, Frank McHugh Sr; think he had an 8 leg ERF on some contract running in & out of Angelesy. Also worked with his son Frank Jr; at the same time, he went on to work for Wilkinsons later FED EX out of their Rochdale depot.

Regards

Hopefully it will be around the TT and staying around Head Road. Money is the biggest problem at the moment, but I want to come over, there are 5 lads who go every year. there were 6 but Mick was killed this year on the M6. I won’t be on a bike though, going to be chauffeured around. ( I hope)
