Ok I know the usual stuff , like cmr , passport, vehicle docs etc but if I’m just channel hopping eg from holland Belgium France etc what’s the other usual stuff you need

buy your vignette weekly or monthly, it works out a lot cheaper, and saves a lot of hassle.
if you have a knife, make sure the blade isn’t more than 5cm. that’s for Germany, but you may end up over the border occasionally.
keep yourself looking clean and tidy, clean shaven. and shake hands with the police/officer that pulls you. first impressions and attitude is everything.
