Refusing too break a picket line

Many of the stories on these pages remind me of the story of the hare and the tortoise. There are those that brag about how fast they can do the job, those that brag about how much they earn, what you don’t hear is those that just get on and do the job.

Why not aim your message at the bosses :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: ,they’ve had apx 2 years to sort the dispute out with tesco donny drivers ,but haven’t ,why don’t they get on with there job and sort it out rather than leave there dirty work too there drivers
message on iso-trac yesterday
Will all drivers going too tesco donny doc please not talk too the protesters and drive slowly when entering site
Easier said than done I would have guessed for the drivers who’ve chose too go in there ,it’s alright telling drivers too drive slow, 5 mph but it’s very easy too loose sight of a person when you have a group,of people surrounding your truck.
Will the company back you if someone gets run over, and injured, killed,I very much doubt it ,in fact I know they wouldn’t.
Instead of having a dig at drivers who refuse to go over picket lines, why not have a go at the bosses who after ample time haven’t settled these disputes which then put drivers / pickets/ protesters in situations they should be in,the drivers DIDNT sack these these did they, the management did :unamused: :unamused: :smiling_imp: but hey were letting the management/ customers down, never mind the fact were being let down by management putting us in difficult situations we should never have been put in in the first place .
It’s never the bosses/ managers though is it,poor soles, those bloody awkward drivers :smiling_imp:

Saw about a dozen of them outside tesco Donny about midday today they weren’t there at 10am when I went in though.

In the past companies like Royal Mail, BRS, and others, were very unionised and there were set times to drive from a to b. If you arrived early at your destination, it was likely that the union man would have words with you about “carving the job up”, so it is highly unlikely that they would pay speeding fines.

I was with BRS in the early years and it was quite common for the tgwu to pay speeding fines out of the hardship funds , normally the fine was around £10 ,but then the average wage was about £15 pw ,it was a relatively high fine ,how would a two thirds of todays wages fine be ?. I know that if I was driving today I would be very happy to work under the BRS conditions as they were then . toshboy
