Thanks for that, will be giving them a call on Monday :sunglasses:

How far away do their euro drivers get?

Are they just away for the week and back weekend or away for a few weeks?

Cheers.

Not very far at all. Most places are within 2 hours of the train :frowning:

You gonna warn the garage to stock up on mirrors :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Thats gotta hurt!

I been on at RB for about 7 months an i read all the horror stories before hand too
I can honestly say ive never had any problems with them. They rarely ring me whilst im out except to give me my job for the next day, the work is a easy, although often frustrating when it takes the nuggets at tescos 3 hours to take 10 pallets off! People moan that your in a different truck every day but as im a day man it makes no difference to me.
The jobs what u make of it, i walk into that transport office every day, never a problem with any of them, but the drivers that come in with the attitude are the ones who will be complaining about the miserable transport office staff! Just my opinion of course!
Like i said ive only been there 7 months and based on how its gone so far can see myself staying for a long while yet
Hope it goes well for you mate :sunglasses:

I’ve got an interview with Reeds on Friday. I worked for them about 3 years ago and didnt find any problems with them apart from the odd bit of confusion in the transport office. I’m only going to be working for them as a casual driver, so i can pick and choose when i want to work and when ive had enough i can always walk away!

Regards SB

Are they still paying casual drivers more money?

I think all drivers are on the same (rubbish) rate of pay!

SB

Well I phoned them up, and they said to fire an application form off, will be asking to go tramping…!!!
Oh yeah, and moving upto Thirsk at the end of Febuary :sunglasses:

I’ve got a training day with R&B on Monday, this is counted as 7hrs towards your CPC. After that its out with a driver trainer then your on your own. I’m only working casual so won’t be able to get out with a driver trainer for a week or two.

Regards SB

Im currently one the euro trampers at rb so any questions feel free to pm me

I’d say it’s gotta be a doddle with average money. Horses for courses.

all drivers same rate, tho wouldnt surprise me to be told the so called euro drivers work for less,no regular shifts diff every day
day men start anytime from 00.30 to 12.30
night men start from 12.30 to 00.30
no parking paid
different unit daily unless n/o this applies to trampers also
driver pays for any accident damage
euro work is get off train, run maybe couple hrs, back on train

Un - ■■■■■■■ - believable that companies do this ■■■■…

Got offered a job with RB last year, but paying for accidents deemed YOUR fault put me off, like all other drivers on here I try my absolute best to avoid any accident but they do happen, a few weeks ago for instance at Vauxhall at 02.00 in the morning In a badly lit part of the complex I backed into a forklift that had stopped behind me, very minor collision but damaged light cluster on trailer £45 boss says it happens and shrugged, RB would deduct from wages, you also pay for any lost rear number plates.
