Reduced weekly rest! How!

Apologies folks I need something clearing up, and I’ve searched all the previous posts I can but they’res something I’m still missing, so thanks in advance to the likes of tachograph, ROG nozza etc etc who av already answered this countless times and will no doubt again with their head in their hands.

How is it I can take two reduced weekly rests adjacent to each other?

If in any two adjacent weeks I have to have a standard 45 rest, how can I work 6 days, 24 hour rest, week2 work 6 days, 24 hour rest, start again Monday.

Iv seen examples of rog’s 45 45 24 24 45, but whilst I can see the workings out I think I also need to see what tweaks to that same working week would make it illegal, so thanks in advance,ta

As far as I understand it in order to take to reduced weekly rests next to each other they need to be within same fixed week. Example 45 rest (sun/mon) work six days then take a 24 (mon) work five days take a 24 (sun) work six days take a 45 (sun/mon)

How that can happen is usually as a one-off following a period of at least 90 hours off (could be as little as 69 off) where all the weekly rests include sunday midnight so they can be used in the week ending or the week starting

Here is a simple example of how that can happen

Take 4 days of over a bank holiday weekend
The first 45 hours are the regular weekly rest for the week before the bank holl (end of the week)
The last 45 hours are the regular weekly rest for the week after the bank holl (start of the week)
That puts the weekly rests at the start of each week

Now take alternative reduced and regular weekly rests for a few weeks/months which all include sunday midnight

After taking a reduced off (start of a week) then take another reduced at the end of the same week - use either one as the reduced for that week and the other is not used for any week and does not need compensating for

The following week take a regular weekly rest off at the end of the week so that is now the regular for that week
The weekly rests have now moved back to the end of each week like they were when this started

As I am bored here is another example …

Week 1 - work mon to fri then sat + sun off = regular weekly rest for week 1
Week 2 - work mon to sat then sun off = reduced weekly rest for week 2
Week 3 - work mon to fri then sat + sun off = regular weekly rest for week 3
Week 4 - work mon to fri then sat + sun + bank holiday mon off (84 hours)= reduced weekly rest for week 4 (39 hours) and regular weekly rest for week 5 (45 hours)
Week 5 - work tue to sat then sun off = reduced weekly rest for week 6 (A)
week 6 - work mon to sat then sun off = reduced weekly rest for week 6 (B)
Week 7 - work mon to fri the sat + sun off = regular weekly rest for week 7

Choose either (A) or (B) as the weekly rest for week 6

So this example is yet another new way to me where I am now banking the hours? In the examples a year a go and two years ago you wer giving examples of how to do it without bank hols etc, bit wer working 6 days a week every week, so could some one explain that bit why I glue my head back on?
Thanks in advance

It would always need the help of a period where at least 69 by preferably 90 hours were taken off in one go including a sunday midnight

If you have examples that say otherwise please give links or quote them

I don’t know what threads you’ve been reading but you can only work 6 days every week if you can get a regular 45 hour weekly rest period in at-least every second week.

There’s no such thing as banking hours for the weekly rest periods.

The regulations say that in any 2 weeks you must have at-least one regular 45 hour weekly rest period and one reduced weekly rest period, you can have the weekly rest periods at any time in the week, when we talk about having 2 consecutive reduced weekly rest periods it’s just a matter of manipulating what part of the week the rest period is taken.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so see if these posts makes any sense

Example 1

Example 2

we do a reduced on the first weekend away . 2nd weekend 45hr . 3rd weekend 45hr then 4th weekend at home and make up what time is missing time from week one
