i was told yesterday that you can only reduced 9 off 3 times in a fortnite now. Is this true? Have they changed the rules without telling me.

As Lucy said you were told wrong, you can still reduce the daily rest period to no less than 9 hours up-to 3 times between weekly rest periods.
