Red Dhollinda key

Are all these keys the same for the same manufacturers of tail lift or are they coded to the tail lift…? I’ve could someone with the same tail lift operate mine with there key if it’s not isolated in the cab??

I`ve only used a couple of tail lifts, but the “key” was a simple plastic jobbie to turn the isolator on/off.
A screw-driver, or bit of bent wire, would do the same job.

Possibly there are some secure types out there though.

I don’t see how it could be tailored to the tail lift, one end is square and another end is round with a piece of round metal pushed into it.

It’s hardly a 7 pin Yale lock is it

There a one size fits all.
Once did a bit for xpo they were always going missing workshop used just give you a new one. All they do basically is push a little button in to operate the electrics.

Hi i bought a couple of spare tailift keys from e bay years ago very cheap also alot of tailift dont bother with them and just have a power off/on switch

Yeah thought this was probably the case. Why they don’t put isolators in the cabs…be easier that faffing with keys.

Most trucks do have an isolator switch on the dash this is the one DAFs use
Turn it off no power to the tailift simple

It’s just a standard 100amp isolator key/switch, not meant to be a security lock.
