Recovery pics

I saw a post on here recently of a truck being recovered

Got me thinking, curiosity got to me lol. Does anybody know where i might find photos of an accident i was involved in 6 years ago in Essex? I’ve seem photos of the truck after it was towed back up here but I’ve always kinda wanted to see the mess i made!

Not yours but i was ten years at a recovery company so i got lots of pics etc. But the chance of you finding yours is pretty slim

Good luck in your search.

on the photo with all chains strops and coil; looks to be the most hardest place (or should I say highest gearing) to lift it
shurly they would lift it from the top of yon side

all there going to do is drag it accross the road scratching the cab to bits

Bah yeah man, why didn’t us recovery lads think of that! Doh, we’ve been doing it wrong for 50 years!

All they’re going to do is right the vehicle without causing any more damage than has already been done.
That’s what a professional recovery company does.

THIS, is how it should be done:

Note the correct use of a Hi Vis Skirt, health and safety firsty!

in the video they where lifting form the top but took the dumper ages after burning the cluch out to lift it
and they had no control when lowering it onto the tyres

There using the chassis of the vehicle for a reason its the strongest part to pull on also its all about physics and a controlled pull to do minimal damage

Ouch, thousands of pounds worth of damage all because someone never checked the park brake.
Looks to be an otherwise textbook job.

did you get a beer off that job? :open_mouth:

 Yeah,

Did a tautliner overturned a couple of years ago, was loaded with 27 tons of Glenfiddich.

You can guess which roundabout it went over on…

im applying for a job as a recovery driver
do you think i will get it

i went to fill an application form out today and was told there was 7 people that came in yesaday
but i told them what experance I had from looking at the photos and watching the video on this thread
