Seriously though, is this for real? It has to be a wind up no? If you aren’t driving the tow truck, it’s not work. It’s not poa because your available for nothing cause your truck is broke. It’s not other work cause your just a passenger so stick it on break and relax. Is everyone afraid of tachos or something?

So if it were your family firm and you thought VOSA may be in the yard to great you when you got back would you still be on break ?

why not?
Cause on break i thought you were not allowed to do any work and had to be able to recooperate and be able to leave your work station, I also thought that break could only be taken in a stationary truck, unless your double manning. But i also thought that when your claiming a doulbe man operation, that you both had to start out within an hour of each other in the same truck, so the fact that i was towed in about 6 hours after my day stated meant i could not be a 2nd man - but i posted to get clarity on here

was you doing any other work?
nope, you don’t need to be able to leave your work station
a break can be taken in a moving vehicle

I know ,it’s not as if Vosa know what happens on breaks or any other mode ,most of my breaks are taken whilst tipping a load ,vosa won’t know any different other than the mode says break and that’s it
I personally think you should grow a pair. You sound like you are scared of your old man. It’s your life dude.

Of course I would. If it was my family firm the trouble would start if you didn’t arrive back in on break. What could they get you for? I think a vast amount of drivers are using fear of vosa and tacho law to get out of working. They have to prove you are breaking the law. So if for instance you spent your 45 min break unloading a trailer and then ate your sandwiches while driving down the road, as long as your tacho shows break then that’s what you had and its up to them to prove otherwise. That’s a family firm attitude. Look I’m not having a go but it’s easy enough to get round these things. Your right in that you have to be free to dispose of your time and leave your truck etc etc. So when this is pointed out to you then tell mr vosa man that you aren’t in your truck, because its being towed and seeing as though you were starting your 11 hours off you decided to go for a leisurely spin with a friend for the sheer enjoyment of it.
