Recent moans about the bulgarians

there have been a lot of post recently about the bulgarians and the other new eu member states taking over our work force,
it does make me laugh quite a lot as most people on here have not got a clue about them,
reading the recent news coming out from bulgaria, thousands have taken to the streets, even today in major cities across the country, the reason the electricity price has rocketed.
this has forced the government to resign and for the regulators to cut the price of electricity.
these are hard working people from all walks of life who are fed up with being ripped off and did something about it on mass. they are not the workshy people who have been portrayed on this site and others, who will come to the uk to bleed our social system dry.
they got off their asses and did something about the situation and not just sat back and moaned about it, i think at times things can be learnt from our European neighbours,
if you don’t like something stand up and be counted don’t just lie there and take it :grimacing: :grimacing:

I take your point. But…

It’s not a race issue. It doesn’t matter which origin the immigrant comes from. The country is too overcrowded and the jobs and homes are being taken by people who don’t belong here.

Surely the Goverment should be asking themselves whether they are contributing to or draining from the country.

People often confuse Bulgarians and Romanians with ‘Roma’ who are workshy scroungers and beggars, usually gypsy types.

I’ve got a little house (shack) in Bulgaria and visit often, and the Bulgarian people are some of the most generous and friendly and certainly hard working people I’ve ever met anywhere in the world.
But I also come across the Roma whilst I’m there, and they’re exactly as depicted in the recent news and comments.

I’ll be back over there in May - hoping the disputes have died down by then. Love the country, love the people and love the food.

i know exactly what you are saying wayne, when i go out each year we go out with friends for meals ect, if i try to pay they get really upset, and i earn over 5 times as much a month as they do. i really have to put my foot down and tell them i am not being disrespectful by paying my own way, its the way i have been bought up and that normally works :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

dar i take your point of view, all the bulgarians i know in this country are working, most in jobs that the locals don’t want! care homes ect, i know some who have started their own businesses, the best friend of my mrs has his own body repair shop and is doing well paying taxes, they have just moved into another rented house which i know is costing them £1200 a month, they don’t claim any benefits and pay their way, as their business grows they will be looking to employ more people so that is contributing to the economy locally and nationally with taxes ect.
there eldest son has just finished school and now for him to go on to further education his parents have to pay, as being a foreign national he can not claim any loans or grants, and most universities charge £25000 per year for international students.
so as for draining the country i can’t see it :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Totally agree but if we protest in this country we will be arrested, have a criminal record and probably end up in the nick. I’m all for a revolution but it wont happen because we live in a segregated society.

Tiger.

I think you have misrepresented the forum users here, rather to justify (a) a phishing attempt or (b and more likely) -give ligitimacy to, the basis of a rant.
I have not seen this mass fear, they will take over your implying.
Anyway i will induldge you.

Imho, it matters no a jot which country the next migrant worker comes from . What does matter to myself , by default, he/she is likely to be exploited and in some cases abused by their employer, they will take a British job for less money and will do anything asked of them by their employer legal or not in many case’s. Only winner is the money driven employer and/ or agencies.
The government could (but won’t) put a stop to a hell of a lot of the exploitation and underhandedness of employers and agencies, plus ensure a increase in tax revenue by insisting migrant’s only work PAYE . But they won’t !
Why !!!

Only thing i have learned from migrant workers is they frear and will appease anyone in authority ,most are dangerous drivers, and our economy gain little if at all from them working here.

Those jobs that occupied by the migrants are “unwanted”, I mean, British people don’t really want them. This is the reason, why the warehouses are full of Polish, Lithuanian, etc. workers. Also, what do you mean homes are taken by them?/ They pay rent for the homes like anyone. Without the migrants many landlords (especially the owners of those horrible victorian s…tholes) could stick their property up to their ■■■.

The dangerous drivers are Brirish. They are the only one nation in Europe who can not use a motorway properly.
