Just posting on the off chance if anyone witnessed a truck with the trailer door swinging open when driving along A5060 chester road near the swing bridge Warrington on Thurday Night 3 Dec or driver coming back to yard with damaged rear door.Hit a on comming car and nearly ripped the roof of the car with my sister and family in the car truck didn’t stop and by the time they wondered what happened and turned round truck had gone they think the truck was green but not sure, although shocked no one hurt has caused about £3000 of damage to car, just a good job it wasn,t the kerbside door could have killed someone walking on the pavement.
What do the Police say about it? this is a serious incident they must be making enquiries I’d 've thought. There must surely be CCTV cameras if this happened near enough to the town. Sorry only been to Warrington a couple of times and that was 40 years ago so I assume the swing bridge would be covered.

Try Alf (think it is Alf - I’ll ask when in there next at the weekend) in the “Stag at Walton” pub. I was in their briefly at the weekend and heard something about a Salveson lorry being parked Thursday eve up where Jahan used to be (if you’re local these names will make sense) fixing its doors. ‘Alf’ noticed it on his way into work and joked they’d missed with the latest demo work going on. Salverson used to run from Port of Moore from when I used to walk the dog down there though it might be nobbies now.
Why would a pub landlord notice a lorry at a building 50 yards away and make smalltalk…the Jahan was a pub called The Ship, then a curry house of aid name which was in the way of a housing development, but was a listed building. Then low and behold, one day this summer mysteriously hit by a lorry and knocked down in five hours as it was dangerous before the preservation people were able to assess the site!
No offence fella but you have very little chance of any company admitting to it without being presented with any evidence,glad no one was hurt.
Have you had a run up the road where it happened to see if there are any cctv on buildings ect that may have caught it or even just the wagon with the door flapping about.
