I know there is a lot of info on this forum which can be found by using the search facility and the likes of google etc but im in a bit of a predicament here. Im getting the last pennies together to undertake my cat C and then C+E, I have already completed the medical, got my provisional, passed the theory , hazard perception and case studies of the CPC.
I live just outside of Hinckley and all I knew originally was there was a company down dodwells industrial estate in Hinckley called ATT. A few drivers from my work told me to avoid them and go with J Coates in Leicester. I did my research and couldn’t find much about ATT in Hinckley and J Coates seemed to be the ones to go for from what Id read up on, I always saw their training vehicles out and about so assumed they were popular. I emailed them and spoke to them and got a price and was invited to come for an assessment drive when I was ready. Then I signed up on here the other day and someone asked me who I was planning on training with ( ROG ) I think it was, I told him it was more less going to be J Coates and he told me to try Data Academy instead. I sent them an email explaining my situation and what their prices were but have not heard back as of yet, I had a look on their facebook page and they seem a really good company, again looking through here and Google like J Coates they had a good reputation.
ATT in Hinckley would have been ideal as Ive not lived over here long and I know most of the roads around Nuneaton and Hinckley where as I don’t really know Leicester, but then again ive now decided its going to be either Coates or Data Academy.
Can anyone help me make a final decision?, anyone whos passed with them? Data Academy seem to have a very good pass rate.
no one can make the decision for you as a lot of factors come in to how you feel , your going to be spending a lot of money on these licences and you need to be very happy with your trainer for starters , just take a little bit more time to make your decision , instead of emailing data give them a ring and arrange an assessment likewise with J coates , a lot of companies give a free assessment or take the cost of off your training if you book with them, both companies have good reviews so you need to meet them now and decide who you feel more comfortable with as the more you feel happy with who your training with the better you will feel whilst training

Always go visit your trainer 1st & remember that not 1 size fits all here some may need more days than others
I went out of area for my CE training as travelled to Chelmsford ( flair training ) had good training there stayed in a hotel so was focussed on what I was doing with no distractions & didnt know the area but it didnt really matter as you will be told where to go & soon find your way round
Remember that when you pass you may not stay local in a job so could be good in a way
I mentioned DATA but also ATT as ATT were the nearest to you
DATA have a member presence on this site and I think you will find that the other trainers who also are members of this site would recommend DATA for a trainee in this area
why not have an assessment with a few trainers in this area and then decide
