Reading MSA both directions

Avoid if getting a meal voucher.Only a Burger King, only a burger meal of what it says on the voucher,so you can not spend the voucher on what you want.
Also the other option is the hot food place, which is kiddies food for a working man, such as fried chicken balls with chips or sausages and baked beans with chips for your meal voucher.
It is ok if you a five year old.

Chievely is no better - pokey little place with a bugger king, and sod all else worth taking a 45 for.
Have not been to membury or leigh delamere for yonks.

Cobham is where I usually end up, 'cos you’ve got a veritable smorgasboard of eateries to choose from there…

I have not got around to the “pulled pork” yet mind you…

Clacket Lane Msa has a noodle Oriental food stand and the noodle stand at Cobham as well.
Fleet Msa has Pappa Johns Pizza, they give you a pager that buzzes when the pizza is ready.
The meal voucher for Strensham Msa is pants.

Must have mis-read that one… THat’s an umbrella thing, earn £50 a shift, spend £25 getting to work, £15 in deductions, and your last tenner on grub halfway through the long, oh so long shift at “fllat shift rate” pay… :open_mouth: :smiling_imp:

Beacons field has quite a good selection of eateries plus a Witherspoons.

Most Msa’s stop serving hot meals at 19.30.They say it is quiet and no need for food after that time.
One of the best is Tebay truckstop.
All homemade cooking.Big portions.
The owners of that place are building the new Msa on the northbound M5 past Michael Wood Msa.

the only decent food on the motorways is tebay!

every other place is crap

Next time your in beacons field try the pulled pork in a roll it’s about 4 quid and it’s bloody lovely. Its the first counter as you walk in the door.

In the Reading area you’re better off dropping onto the A4 to Mac’s transport cafe just west of Theale. If parking up for the night there are a few pubs along there all with handy lay bys and Newbury ind est has a Toby carvery, pizza place etc all within five mins walk

With the pulled pork, you get a bucket of roast tatters with gravy and a slab of stuffing with a hot or cold drink for about a fiver.Turkey and pork on offer too and beef.
For a Msa it is good value.A meal.
