Unfortunatly some on both sides are determined to make us remove the thread by constantly being offensive , posting supposedly “Funny” comments or dragging the thread off the subject.
Rather than dealing with it as we normally do and just removing the thread and stopping any further discussion
We are going to try an experiment.
We cannot and do not monitor every thread on these forums and do not have the resources to monitor 24/7.I have no doubt there will be howls of complaint but as we cannot babysit 24/7 and some people (on both sides) cannot keep it on subject or refrain from posting in an offensive mannner - it seems a possible compromise to simply removing it totally.
So the thread will be removed from public view unless a moderator with the time and inclination to keep an eye on it and stop it descending into mud slinging is available- when it will be restored for as long as they are available.
Any attempts to reopen the subject while it is out of view will be removed, any member repeatedly attempting to do so will have their ability to start new threads restricted
If this doesnt work out then the thread will simply dissappear as usualy happens when members cannot post in a civil and restrained manner
