I’ve just bought a 4 wheel erf e6 with 28ft plant body on as a project.in the past it moved caravans for a living so was down plated to 13900 gross. What do I have to do and who do I have to see to get it put back to its original 17ton gross? I’ve looked an can see nothing that seems to have been changed over standard so could this have been nothing more than paperwork when it was done? Thanks
Can’t remember the form number now ,but it’s just a paper work exercise ,could be a gv10 ,but certainly the days of removing spring leafs ect are gone .
Thanks Dan will look into it
It’s a vtg 10 form you need.
Hiya…i seem to remember been told a prop shaft was been used with
less bolt holes to down plate some lorries, after the down rating test the standard prop went back on if i’am correct
i might have forgotten who told me about it…just check the prop bolts in case it has one with the lesser bolts. the
diff and gearbox flange will have a hole not used as theres no hole in the prop flange…
John
You will also need to check the tyre ply ratings.
