RDC World Record

Pulled in to Asda Chepstow this morning, security logged me in at 0535. As i pulled through the gates the forkie beckoned me straight onto a bay. Gimme your paperwork drive, i’ll take it in, you pull your curtains. By the time i’d pulled one curtain he was back with his mate and the 2 of the them started tipping me. I could barely keep up with them. 26 pallets off in 10 mins. Did the curtains up, waited for the load to be checked , got the paperwork back and i pulled out at 0604.
29 mins in total. This even beat the 40mins set by Tesco Livingstone a few months ago. The only reason i can think of is that it was nearly the end of their shift and they wanted to get me done. Can anyone beat this?

no.

Savour the moment! It’ll probably never happen again.

Dunno then?:

ha,ha, what they said.

think my record at an rdc, is 9 hours, and they still turned it away.
wrong sort of record i know

25 mins at Morrisons Swan Valley, one Friday night 52 pallets of kithchen roll for Proctor and Gamble, one way pallets so didnt need any blues back, but I thought that was quick, ■■■■■■ is pulled out of there 10 minutes before my booking time and phoned in and they didnt have anything for me to do, so I ended up sitting outside for an hour or so waiting

I can, but i only had 2 of Asda’s little plastic half pallets on from Beckton(Britvic) going to Didcot n a Sunday afternoon… In and out in 15 minutes, but it was sunday, and a poxy little load, so doesnt really count!! LOL

I have had near-similar times myself, the RDCs certainly to seem to have got their acts together since the Poles arrived to start tipping the trailers.

Oh Yes!!! It’s the magic mushroom season again. 10 minutes to tip a trailer?? Only in your dreams. Wasn’t Sergeant Pepper on the gate was it??

I did a brief stint taking Sushi from Enfield to Safeway at Aylesford. I was the last inbound truck to arrive and all of the outbound trucks had to wait until I had been tipped before they could set off. There used to be three people with MHEs tipping me and as soon as one was out of the trailer, the next would be straight in. Although I only ever had 8-10 pallets, they used to be off the trailer within a couple of minutes.
