OK I am getting thoroughly fed up with wagons crawling by and then pulling in at the first available opportunity usually 6 inches from my front. Ffs WAIT UNTIL I FLASH YOU IN!! I’m sick of it, ten times a ■■■■■■ day.
The reason for the flash is not to let you know when your past, but to let you know when you’re past AND that you’re well clear. So wait for the flash!!!
Yes I know some ignorants don’t flash at all but then you carry on for a few seconds more not just pull in.
I’ve been pushed onto the hard shoulder more than once just recently and I’m sick of it ■■■■■■■ amateurs!
I have a dash cam now and the next ones boss is gonna get the footage. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Travel up A1 Leeds to North East nearly every day and I get this regularly!! Annoys the ■■■■ out of you but I’m getting better at sensing when the morons are going to do it now!!
Worst are the 7.5t, you’d think they’d be better seeing as should be easier to know where arse end is on a jumper but they are by far the main culprits for me.
As soon as I see indicator on when still got a few feet to pass know they’re going to cut in, at least they’re considerate enough to indicate first before barging across

You may find that the reason some “ignorants” don’t flash at all could be because of the amount of drivers they used to flash in that just couldn’t be arsed to say thanks
I’d say knock a couple off the limiter but I did that last night and got no thanks at all. So fudge em! I always flash unless they’re obviously a long way in front or I’m not paying attention

The amount that don’t flash rigids in. I drive rigids because it the easiest job I’ve ever had, I like nearly all the people (one forkie doesn’t like me ) But apparently that makes me worth less, or stops my mirrors bouncing around like a kid on e-numbers…

Agree with every thing you say.
That is my pet hate on the road, usually I can take stuff in my stride, but THAT boils my ■■■■■■ urine, and makes me want to rip their stupid ■■■■■■ heads off. The useless basts should not be allowed to drive anything longer than a ■■■■ tandem.
Rigid drivers are the worst for this, if I know where my back end is and I’m in an artic, why can’t you know where yours is in a slightly bigger ■■■■■■ van?
Who are the Glasgow car-transporter lot with “Voyager (a.n.other number)” on the side of their cabs? Space cadet Number 7 decided I was exiting M6 J40 last Wednesday afternoon. I wasn’t on the limiter (Bluetree pings up an over-speed infringment at 56mph ) so he wasn’t exactly crawling by, and his arse end wasn’t 6 inches off my wipers, it was 6 foot behind them. He did indicate though…which was decent of him. Shame he didn’t stop to fuel up at the Fleece though.

I dont flash other trucks in because generally you find that when people flash to let the passing truck they end up with no braking distance, so I let the passing truck decide if its safe to pull in and usually find this better. if someone cuts in short just lift off the right pedal count to four seconds then right pedal down again.
Its rather scary how many perform F1 style overtaking , not nice when you’re driving a gas tanker.
Coincidently I’m training a young Polish driver today, we’re on the M4 South Wales, I’ve had to point out his lack of distance awareness when overtaking, we overtook a Nolans 50mph [emoji57] & when he flashed, I think it was in anger rather than letting us know that it’s clear.
Putting him right as we speak !
I still flash trucks in, and if I don’t get a flash while overtaking, fair do.s, I couldn’t really give a one (although I remember the days of driver courtesy to each other as a matter of routine) but I still over compensate for space left, and make sure I don’t invade the guy’s space…but then again I’m perfect
And to all the smartarses who come on these threads giving it the ‘‘I don’t need flashing in me, as I know exactly where the back of my trailer is’’ (usually the ones we are on about now on this thread ) here’s news for you.
WE ALL DO!!! …Just that unlike you some of us drive with a bit of consideration.
I remember these days when drivers were courteous and helped each other especially truck drivers.
Wish a lot of the newer drivers could see the way it was then.
They might learn something to help cut out all the carnage we have these days.

Yep. ^^^^^^^^. The “I don’t flash or need flashing in” lot (I’m talking to you Toby) should realise that you are not part of the problem, you in fact ARE the problem!
Before anyone starts with the ■■■■■■■■ about should know your vehicle length etc let me tell you; it’s nothing to do with the length of your vehicle, it is however all to do with extending the hand of courtesy to a fellow professional and having it reciprocated. Standards are slipping all the time, why would you willingly be part of that?

The way I see it is folk flash when they’re happy with how far past I am to start pulling back in. And different people like different safety distances. So if I get no flash I give more room. I flash people in 99.9% of the time, and if some pulls in too early I back off then flash at the point I would have. Oh, and always thank people if I get flashed
