yep loads of kids like i say lee is son used to go abroad with him and his a driver himself

No, I have never seen him and I suspect he may be like Captain Bird’s Eye or Aunt Bessie, just made-up. :wink:

we met up with roy a few weeks ago, didnt know him before then, he told us he WAS Ralph Davies and we wanted to know he was telling truth!

what i can gather from lee is old chap worked for ralph for a number of years going all over the place but always had time to stop of for apint

yes met in a pub, told us he was Ralph Davies, we asked him to take us to the yard with him but he always had an excuse, looks like he had us going then! Lee would recognise the pic above then!

yes lee does reconise the pic as his oid chap says hes full of ■■■■

I used to meet a driver on the ferry quite often who drove Scania with a tag axle unit called Alan who I think was Normans brother this would be late 70s to early 80s we shared a cabin a few times when the Norwind and Norwave were on with the 4 berths cabins right at the bottom of the boat and I recall a spanish? barman Emille who when the drivers bought him a drink he would come over with his round and say one with me

Yes. Alan is / was / still is Normans brother, Miles was no relation though, just a bullsifter.

Anyway, sorry for thread diversion, back to Cheltenham. :wink:
