Ralph Davies - Willie Evans

Took these photos when I worked for John Davies out of Southampton.

Anyone remember a driver called Willie Evans from Gloucester?

I met him when he was working for a builder called Chris Gribbons in Winchester.

Many a night sat in the King Charles pub with Willie made me decide continental was the job for me.

I ran with him once abroad when he was working for mount hooleys out of Jedborough in the mid ninetees.

Hes still on for ralph fella does the uk side of things now

All round top bloke a great laugh too

Hello mate,
If you see him maybe you could tell him I asked after him.

As I say, he was working driving tipper up at Kings Worthy near Winchester for a bit.

My name is Paul, hopefully he will remeber me.

Thanks.

This was at Sunbilla, the one showing his ■■■■ was a guy called Ady.

Have to admit Mr Evans was one of the funniest blokes about always having
the crack a bit like Noel Minchew.

I know Willie Evans…

He is back on for Ralph Davies now, driving T111 RDF(or is it 777, definately T■■? RDF)

Saw him at Lidl’s in Erith back in September, and then last week in Dunstable… he had broken down right on the lights in the centre of Dunstable coming from J11, at 0830, and RD’s fitter never arrived until 1200 to fix it!!
I worked with him on RPL for a while too, back in 2003.

Also, wasnt Willie one half of an LDD years ago, from Scotland to Dover, where Mr. Davies himself took over for the European leg??

A young fella called Percy drove for MH. We were weekended together at Truckworld in 199?. He chatted me up and took me to see Michael Collins at the pictures. Disappointing end as I remember. That was all a long time ago when I called myself Mable (only at the weekend). Now I’m Violet Marie, and free next Saturday nite…
