Hated that when second man/drivers’ mate with an ex colleague. It wasn’t the fact that sport doesn’t really interest me, it’s the endless adverts particularly football-chant theme ones for builders merchants.
Heart 80s ,Gold ,anything decent that Dab picks up in the area iam in .
I was delivering to a pub earlier where the cooks were listening to R2 Popmaster; What a load of crap. The same format where the contestants are allowed to waffle for ages, about as entertaining as Steve Wright.

It really is drivel that pop_master farrago.Ken will struggle from now on I reckon. Not exactly the same banter quality now that Lynn Bowles has gone.A recent snippet I stumbled on between Ken and one of the newer traffic reporters was mind blowingly banal.
Gonna be painful to have zero radio input ,but detoxing from anything I guess has a price.

Can you imagine little Timmy and Emily phoning in to tell us about their latest oboe lesson, to be greeted with a REGIONAL ACCENT such as Sara Cox it would scar them for life.

After Tels departure plus years of Evans prattle think the well has been poisoned.I guess it just reflects the current cultural,across the board stagnancy that exists.Prats cooking and prancing on tv and “music” direct from the Simon Cowell sewage farm.
i prefer no radio whatsoever for most of the negative reasons above plus i find that the adverts are either an insult to my intelligence or just cloyingly annoying so il never have the radio on at all unless im abroad and bored where sometimes its ok as cant understand a word thats being slabbered.
radio 4 used to be interesting but now it mght as well be radio uganda worldwide as its now just the bbc pc lets all live in a cocacola mongrel advert world with no real news from the uk.
this radio from donegal always amuses me though as its so bad its like a 1970 dj having a radio station from his bedroom.
he is the only voiceover for every advert and makes mistakes constantly.
theres religeous programs a cpl times a day,he is live mid morn till lunch,then just a playlist the rest of the time.oldies and country.
pure timewarp if you liked radio caroline style jingles and stuff.the old dude thats sometimes on in the evenings orders his fish supper live sometimes forgetting he hasnt switched off his mike which is amusing in itself.

Foxy Coxy which I’d agree is almost but, not quite another Zoe Ball. I don’t listen to Radio2 because of Mr Evans and I won’t be listening to Ms Ball either.
I’d like someone to just announce the record, give me the weather and tell me that the M1 is stuffed again near Milton Keynes. We all know that’s never gonna happen.

As a commenter recently stated,Wrights been doing the same show for the last 40 years.I agree,trouble is there’s no genuine,credible replacement option.It’s one thing for the stand ins too shine momentarily for a couple of weeks,but could you see,say for eg Craig Charles keeping the momentum going for years??..highly doubtful imho.

Radio4 in the morning, then LBC with nick ferrari, radio2 for ken bruce, sometimes radio 2 jeremy vine just to raise my blood pressure!
I stumbled across the Charles Aznavour tribute by chance on tuesday purely by chance when setting up the mp3 player on Actros radio.Not really my bag really but when Paul Gambaccinis on air I tend to listen.I respect this fellas knowledge and intellect on cultural matters like no other so I kind of loitered a while as Aznavours life story played out.Regardless of his music,what a geezer he was,a proper musician,not a common feature of our French cousins tbh Some tune of his played out,effulgent with imagery and atmosphere and just as the song concluded a piece of latter day,…er,pop music was offered up,part of I believe a new musical policy at the station that apparently is designed to showcase newer more diverse music.
Absolute hideous,vacuous garbage to these fine tuned lugs.
There really is a festering swamp of talentlessness at large today,I would cite Ed Sheeran as it’s natural ambassador for this malaise but there’s many a contender.

I managed to pick up Chorley fm once and they had just started to play bohemian rhapsody. The signal got weaker and weaker with more and more static and right as it got to the cresendo, the ■■■■■■■ signal went to full static.
The air was blue!

I use the tune inn app to listen to tipp fm either 8am or 1pm to listen to who’s dead in the parish back home. All my English friends think it’s most bizarre deaths are announced on the radio every day.
My dads main pleasure since retiring is listening to this and checking th deaths in the Tipperary star to see who he knows that he has outlived and what funerals he can go to to pass the day
None of it, these breakfast shows on commercial stations with Male/Female presenter combo and the pathetic competitions and the endless mindless chatting of complete ■■■■■ you would have to be retarded with an extremely low intellect to find it entertaining.
The tune in app is excellent as is the BBC player audio books are good as well get a decent pair of wireless headphones and a 30gb contract and thats the entertainment sorted.
