Our thoughts are with the driver’s family at this time. R.I.P.

Two wagons from the same firm who were leading sugar beet to Newark from what I’ve been told. The firm is LJ Brumpton from Barnetby Top near Brigg. Heard a few rumours of how it happened etc but I won’t be posting them up on here. RIP mate.

Happened right in front of me so saw exactly what happened.
Did all the necessarys and spoke to the driver that was hit.
Left when all emergency vehicles arrived.
Gutted to hear the driver had died.
RIP mate

it wasnt two vehicles from the same firm, lj brumpton is correct, the other was a farm owned truck, with only three more loads of beet left to do and its season was over, the brumpton truck had stopped because of a blow out so i’m told, a friend of mine was about 500 yds behind the aftermath, he also knows the mechanic who looked after the vehicle that suffered the fatality. sad news, RIP.

Correct.
One of the first car drivers to stop and help was the head of trauma at Sheffield Hospital. He did everything he could to try and help the driver but access to him was very difficult.

cant understand what happened here, very sad though. :frowning:

RIP - thoughts with the families.

Brings it home just how easily it could happen to anyone of us, r.i.p to the driver and to the rest of you stay safe
