i spotted T955 ASE coming into the ind est the other day and its still looking very tidy,
i took this pic yesterday on my way to work of there 02 plate Daf, T955 ASE is still in as good condition as this one as they do keep a really tidy fleet.

I called R F Bellis recently about buying one of their DAF’s off of them and returning it to its former glory. I haven’t seen the truck in 6 years though and was wondering if anybody would have a recent photo of it? Its a 95XF Space Cab reg T955 ASE, it used to be owned by Gibbs of Fraserburgh. I’m just interested as to what kind of state its in now.

i shouldn imagine much trouble with at all just getting all resprayed and a good service.

R F Bellis are still running a few XF`s ill try find out if its still on the road for you

I called them a few months ago about it and they said its been a good truck but dew for replacement soon. I’m just kind of hoping it only needs a shot blast, respray and a good clean to get it into show truck condition. And because its clocked up a few miles and not going through a dealer I might be able to ■■■■■■ it for about £8000, hopefully :laughing:

It should still be very tidy as Bellis keep a very nice fleet,
if i get the chance ill try and get around to there yard this week

Ok thanks. You can mention that you know the guy that called about it, they should remember, seemed like very decent people when I spoke to them on the phone.

Thanks for the photo. I just hope by the time I get back to the UK or they are selling it they don’t want a huge amount for it. I’ve seen T-reg ones going for round about £10k at dealers so if he was to sell it for about £8500 I’d be happy to pay that. I suppose I’ll just have to wait and see how things go but judging by the rest of the ex-gibbs motors this DAF could be the cleanest and my best chance of getting an original for the shows.

Anyone any idea if they are still running this? I called a guy about a Scania that Gibbs used to own today but he wanted £9500 for it, far too much for an 11 year old motor thats covered 1.3 million.
