I see this old established haulier from Elland who ran a lot of six wheel rigids (green) is being sold up by Malcolm Harrison Auctions,it is always very sad when a company that has been built up over many years calls it a day.

I worked at RAJ for over 10 years until Friday 16th November 2018, when we closed down for good. Sad day but Bob the owner has decided it’s time to retire, tried to sell the company but no takers.

Plenty of jobs around mate but like you say it’s sad when I good firm packs in…
From outside looking in it looked a half decent firm

Remember R.A.J from the late eighties, used to have a contract with a lighting company, used to meet on Valance Rd Whitechapel lorry park.
Regular driver would have 60 drops round London in a 16 tonner.

And good for them too… they worked hard and made the investment why should they worry
