Saw an R.A. Gander (Henfield) truck this morning with Dutch plates on. Does anyone know if he has joined the long line of trucking companies who are registering their trucks abroad.
I am sure it was a LHD though. Can anyone give more info on this.

I noticed that Gander starting registering his trucks in holland a few years ago and that he has a Venlo or Den Haag address on the cab door.
Funny thing is he’s now got some 4x2 units and they’re all on english plates.
I think things must have settled down there because they were always advertising for drivers a few years back but haven’t seen an add for ages.
Cheers

with dutch plates and lhd,it look’s like it
As neil said, theyve been on Dutch plates a while now, but i must admit, ive never seen any of their trucks with the handlebars on the PROPER side!
He has been running on Dutch for quite a while. I have never noticed any lefthookers though. I applied there for a job a couple of years ago but never got it!! That may be because I said I didn’t mind being away two or three weeks but liked to get home at least every third week. He told me some of his drivers never went home for four months at a time!!! I told him I had a home to go to and needed to see it occassionly.

Cheers for that,I was considering applying for them but dont think that I will now
They dont stay away that long I dont think. They just do local stuff like Rungis, Strasbourg and the occasional Austria but I did see one near Budapest quite some time ago. I have spoken to their drivers when I have been in Lyon and they told me that they are just the usual conti drivers.
Mind you, times are changing so maybe Gander does things a lot differently now I suppose.
If I remeber right there are two companies here RA Gander and Truck Line. Same livery different boss.
Don’t know which is Dutch(ish)
