Quid a litre diesel

I have been reading that UK diesel could reach up to £1per litre in the near future. However the fuel prices in some services are near enough already a quid a litre- well 99.9 ppl so does that mean that the fuel in services will get to £1.07 p/l or more- i guess so.
Often I have to fuel up on these services as there is no where to fuel up.
If fuel prices keep goin up like this then there may not be a,Uk haulage industry.
The bosses are saying there is no money in the haulage industry- which I can understand :exclamation: :exclamation: , but they always seem to be driving round in flash cars.

if you use&angency card then either the price the company pays will be reduced or fixed for 6months providing they use x amout per six months also they will ve getting the vat back so you’d actually have to get 17.5% above £1 a litre before a company will be paying £1 a litre

Its £1.07 in Thurso, Caithness and heard its £1.10 on the orkney islands.

100.9p Dundee Bullionfield today

109p in one Leicester ‘Juicer’ (fuel station)

Andy

BP, A454 Willenhall Road, Wednesfield was 100.9p today

lets face it it’s been a quid a litre for a long time.

it’s been creeping up by 0.1p at a time for ages. 99.6p is basically a quid.

Always go’s up in the summer and down in the winter though. People wanting to go on their summer hols so oil firms put the price up as they know people will use it. Whether they’re towing the caravan, drving to the airport or even paying for the aircraft fuel via their plane ticket.

Its amazing but noone seems to be bothered do you think people will start getting upset a little when it hits £2 a litre or will they all just say “ah well.”.

well eventually it will, oil stocks are slowly depleting so as a planet we need to find alternatives so no matter what it will eventually reach £2 a litre.

Although there are a lot of people screw every penny they can get in the mean time. Oil companies will tell you it’s governments, retailers tell you it’s oil companies, bottom line is they’re ‘all’ making money out of us. At least with government, you do in theory get it back one way or another.

What’s with the re-cycled veggi oil?, works well apparently…

Yes a great idea but the greedy government still want the duty paid if you use it.

true but it’s normaly free in the first place.

However you need to mix ethanol with it for it to work i beleive and your exhaust smells like a chipshop.

so you dont like the smell of fish & chips, dont sit behind it.
if you do make sure youve got the mushy peas on board, sorry thats tesco.
