I was wondering is this one of the fastest turnarounds in a dc?
Booked into bookers in hadfield at 04.35 this morning- was driving out of the yard at 04.58 !!!
I had 20 pallets on, got to be fastest surley.
Tescos, Middleton. 26 pallets unloaded in 10 minutes.
Amazing how quick they can work when it’s “Job and Knock Bank Holiday Monday”.
Sure you were in the right place lad?? Ive known of outfits that will tip you in minutes and some of them even come out to you especially if your parked up in a nice quiet layby and also to save even more time and inconvenience they will quietly remove the stuff out of a custom made hole in the curtain while you sleep, Very considerate fellows

that reminds me of a bad steak pie i once ate in the hollies truck stop
it was unloaded in less than a minute
25t of stainless in sheet packs forked off in 6 minutes at Metal Centre Aldridge once I’d got the sheet off. I suspect this won’t happen any more in their current place.
My usual loader, Andy, manages to average less than a minute a pallet every night. Considering he has to go back and forth between the bay and the trailer it is very good. Plus the load is always exactly as I want it and all safe and secure. He usually loads 40+ pallets in not much over half an hour.
Shame about the rest of the delays though!
He doesn’t read this, but I think he deserves a pat on the back anyway

Assuming you mean HATfield, welshlad, I would consider that a bloody record!!!
Once upon a time, Produce at Sainsburys Basingstoke was an ace tip but not anymore. They always finished at 8pm and I always said the best time to arrive there was 730pm lololol I have gone in there with 26 pallets at 730, as I was backing onto the bay, a lad was opening me back doors and they tipped me so quick, I didn’t even get a 15 on the bay.
I was tipping at Tesco’s\Hatfield on Friday night.
I got there at 01:35 and by the the time I got onto a bay it was 01:50ish.
I went into the incoming goods office to hand in the paperwork etc to be told that they would start tipping in half an hour as it was their dinner and I could use the canteen if I wanted. I said no problem and that I was ok for for the canteen as I had eaten.
I then popped to the toilet.
On my return I was asked to undo the securing straps for some of the pallets on the trailer.
I’d forgotten to undo them.
I’ve not been doing this job very long.
I apologised and went and undone them.
Anyway…
I was tipped in 30 mins and was on my way.
The very nice people worked through their din dins to tip me.
I’ve never been there before and have heard a lot of bad things on here about Tesco rdcs but was quite impressed.
I didn’t mind waiting for them to have their dinner but if they want to tip me in their dinner time then many thanks Tesco\Hatfield!!
I then did a trailer swap @ A1 M Peterborough services and onto Sainsburys\Buntingford.
The warehouse bloke came out and asked me to back up onto the loading bay again as I wasn’t on square enough for their ramp. It was one of those bays that are at an angle to the building.
Like I said, I haven’t been doing this long.
He even apologised for asking.
I said that it was my mistake and I should be apologising, which I did.
It took a bit longer this time but they were into the back of the trailer tipping straight away.
the quickest tips ive had are when they dont want it.
usually though its between 20 mins and 1 hour depending on what im blowing it into.

I quite enjoy some of our quick tips. 3 or 4 hours to pump a load of chocolate on a Sunday at double time

Being on the other end of the wagon, me and my mate at work try to get our delivery off, and empty rollcages on, as quick as we can. This is hindered by the frequent dummy-spitting of the Megadeckers… however, our best time is 52 cages off, 52 empties and a few full returns, in and out the gate in 45 minutes.
Most days it takes us an hour and a half, by the time the lifting deck has decided to play ball… and of course if we’re a little less enthusiastic, perhaps if it isn’t Friday…
tesco chepstow the other day was a flyer but not usually .as i backed on the bay and was getting paperwork felt the thud of pallet truck by the time i handed my keys in the guy was coming into goods in and giving the girl the p/work 12 pallets off in less than 10 minutes i was going to ask for a pcv but the guy had already put the pallets on . i was on my way to hams hall and hinkley so just got them to take all pallets off at hinkley
