Quick tacho question

Could somebody quickly check my times and make sure I’ve got this right please?

I finished last Friday at 1821, and then had a slightly reduced weekly rest until 1406 on Sunday, when I started again and worked until 2010. By my reckoning I’ve got to compensate for 1h15m.

I then did the following times Monday to Friday this week:

M: 0710-2015
T: 0642-1845
W: 0625-1710
Th: 0705-2027
Fr: 0649-■■

I reckon I’ll be stopping at about 8ish tonight and running in for the final hour or so in the morning. Based on what I’ve put above, am I right in thinking that a) my reduced rest was compensated for on Wednesday night, and b) I’m ok running in tomorrow morning, as long as I’m finished before 1406 tomorrow?

Thanks

Gary

a) yes
b) yes
c) (which you didn’t mention) you need to have 45 hours this week

I then did the following times Monday to Friday this week:

M: 0710-2015 = REDUCED DAILY REST
T: 0642-1845 = FULL DAILY REST
W: 0625-1710 = FULL DAILY REST PLUS 1HR 15MINS COMPO
Th: 0705-2027 = REDUCED DAILY REST
Fr: 0649-■■ = FINISH LATEST 2149

Thanks

Gary

YOU MUST HAVE A FULL WEEKLY REST AND THAT MUST START BY 2359 THIS SUNDAY

ITS POSSIBLE THAT YOU COULD HAVE A REDUCED THIS WEEKEND BUT THAT WOULD DEPEND ON WHAT YOU DID OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS

IF YOU ARE STARTING AT 0700 MONDAY THEN TO GET IN A FULL WEEKLY REST YOU NEED TO START THAT BY 1000 SATURDAY

DONE IN CAPSLOCKS SO YOU CAN SEE MY ADDED BITS

So, he’s OK then Rog? :unamused:

Depends what he does from this point on but so far ok

Thanks for the replies, I’ve just got parked up, so will be on my way at about 7 in the morning, and hopefully starting my rest by 0830. I’m starting again at 7 on Monday, so all should be good.

One thing I’ve just picked up, I’d assumed that once you’ve compensated for a reduced rest, you could then have another reduced following it. From what I’ve read, I take it that I have to have a full weekly before I can have another reduced, is that right?

You cannot have two reduced weekly rests in a row whether you’ve compensated for the first one or not. Every other week must be a full weekly rest.

Thanks for that - could have saved me a few quid in the future! Just goes to show, never assume I guess!

Thanks all

Gary

A FULL weekly rest is one where there are at least 45 unbroken hours off

You CAN have 2 reduced weekly rest in a row but not 2 reduced weekly rests assigned to 2 consecutive weeks

Simple legal example -
One week holliday with the last 45 hours of that assigned to WEEK 1 because it enters that week
WEEK 1 = mon 0600 to sat 1900
Sat 1900 to mon 0600 = REDUCED WEEKLY REST (A)
WEEK 2 = mon 0600 to sat 1900
sat 1900 to mon 0600 = REDUCED WEEKLY REST (B)
WEEK 3 = mon 0600 to fri 1900
fri 1900 to mpn 0600 = FULL WEEKLY REST assigned to WEEK 3

REDUCED WEEKLY REST (A) or (B) can be assigned as the weekly rest for WEEK 2 with the unassigned one only being there to prevent more than 144 hours being done and it does not need compensating for

I just KNEW you would end up overcomplicating it! The op asked if he was ok with what he did, which he was. I added a bit of info that he evidently wasn’t aware of; then you had to show off and add some information that, whilst correct, didn’t need to be put into the thread.

The OP was answered in FULL and THEN another member stated something which was not spot on

I can see that putting too much in before the OP was answered could be an issue but hardly one afterwards …
