Parked up last night forgot to select break so have recorded 11 hours of other work oops! I’m new to digi cards do I just write it on the print out?
I’d just write an explaination on the rear of printout. Everybody makes mistakes.

Cheers bud vosa would see I’ve been on other work was a long day lol
I might have missed something but wouldn’t it be easier to just take the card out at end of shift ? Why do you need to record your rest?

Because he has already recorded other work, it is after the event now.
Whether you leave the card in or take it out, you still have to select the correct mode, enter the finishing country and do the same in reverse in the morning. He forgot to do either.

It’s easier to leave it in all you have to do between shifts is select bed.
Just write on the print out “mode switch error, 2145- 0645= break”, or similar, VOSA might point out to you that you’ve committed an infringement but they would never prosecute for it.
I’d do 2 printouts, so you don’t forget to hand 1 in after 28 days.
Explanation on both, as Harry said - mode switch error and times of daily rest BUT remember to sign both, then hand 1 into your TM and keep the other with you for a month.
If for any reason the tachograph does not make an accurate record of activities (e.g. if the driver
inadvertently makes an incorrect manual entry in a digital tachograph, or fails to correctly operate the
mode button or switch), it is strongly recommended that the driver makes a manual tachograph record
to this effect. For digital equipment, the driver should make and sign a printout for the relevant period
with a note giving details of the error and reason at the time the error is made. For analogue equipment,
the record should be made at the back of the chart.
Direct advice from the feeding trough.

they should be left in all the time. that way you can show a continuous record of what you’ve done all week/month, or whatever the case maybe.

yes. maybe away for one week or six weeks, then park it up at home with the card in. if i had to ship it in, then i’d take the card out.

Not quite. There is a requirement to record end country and start country for each shift. Simple 10 second process but usually ignored by a lot of drivers.
