Just stopped for my 45, jumped in the wagon and switched the ignition on to check how long til I could set off. When I switched the ignition it changed to other work and I didn’t realise til a minute later. So now it’s ended by break on 31 minutes, and registered 1 minute of other work. Should I take 15,take a printout, and write on the back. or wait another half hour?
to be on the safe side, take 30 mins
you would get away with 15 and a print out but it flags up on every download you do for the next 28 days as an infringement.
For the sake of 15 minutes you might as well save yourself some possible grief and have the 30 minutes break.
At-least then no-one can question whether or not you’ve failed to have the required break.
Did you move or press the 1 button ?
(Just use the arrows on the big button in future to scroll through the info)

Some units default to O/W when the ignition is turned on, this is what has happened here.
Some other units also default to rest when ignition is turned off… which could land the driver in trouble with mr vostapo if not spotted and stopped as no work is recorded

We had some new units that used to do that and some drivers were getting infringements on nights out also, but it got fixed at our local Tacho Centre so when you turned on the ignition it stayed on break or whatever you had it on.

That’s exactly what happened. Decided to take 30 to save the grief
Take it to a tach station and get the default reset to rest.
All ours came with this O/W default set on the programme caused no end of bloody aggravation.Stupid things we have flicked to other work when you turned the soddin ignition off.
Piece of bloody garbage.
