Quick Licence question

Hey folks.

Ive sent my licence off to get a new entitlement put onto it - Does that mean I can’t drive that class of vehicle until I get my licence back?
Any help appreciated.
thanks

EURO DRIVING FORUM (INTERACTIVE) - Strange place to find this question - oh well…

I assume you mean that you have just passed an upgrade DSA test and are waiting for the licence to come back from DVLA

I’ve just called DVLA and been told that you can legally drive a class of vehicle from the moment you pass the DSA test for it.

Ahh no. Didnt mean to put it in here.

Thanks for that Rog.

Rog, you had to call DVLA to ask that? I’m suprised at you :unamused:

A provisional licence + a pass certificate in any vehicle class = entitlement to drive since Adam was a lad.

At any passed driving test, you can rip up the L plates, give your accompanier the bus fare home & GO…

not that i recommend it or ever allow it as euphoria tends to have an effect on concentration levels!

Always good to check that things have not changed - I was just being cautious.

As this was posted in the Euro Driving Forum I think i should point out that you have to carry your licence at all times when driving on the continent and would be fined if you got stopped and failed to produce it by the authorities in most if not all countries in the EU and might not be allowed to carry on with your journey until you produced it

IMHO, that’s spot-on jimti, but Curt had already acknowledged an error.

:open_mouth: What surprised me is that ROG must have taken a wrong turn to have ended up in here himself.
