Just a simple question, 54 reg 114, does it have a diesel light?
I have run her down so low that the needle hardly registers on the guage but never yet had a light come on (chicken out and fill her up before I run out ) starting to wonder if there is one. Cheers folks!
No light as i can recall…hpefully you don’t have an anti syphon so you can shine a torch down and see for yourself exactly how much is left under the pick up.
Why bother running so low? I had a donkey once and I taught it not to eat, bloody thing only went and died!
Thanks Juddian, I assumed probably not, and yes she does have an anti syphon thingy in the tank so looking in isn’t an option. The guage seems to be accurate, but having spent the last 6 years driving a wagon with a diesel light, I need to remember to keep an eye on the guage and not rely on waiting for a light to come on. I don’t fancy the phone call … boss, my lorry seems to have stopped…

I generally fill up when I get down to about 1/4 of a tank, have only had the lorry for a couple of weeks and it was just something I wondered about.
