A friend of mine has been reminiscing about a childhood holiday with her son who is 21 this year. They went to Allonby and she is convinced the place is famous for having wild white horses on the beach. Are they still there, were they ever there and what is the reason.

they weren’t wild ,they were allowed to roam.there was a stables on the front where you could pay for a ride along the front . not sure if they are still there , will have to go to twentymans for a cornet at the weekend .
