Question for box jockey's

As a rule, what percentage of deliveries are you forced to sit in a waiting room whilst tipping?
And, if you have a handball load and it’s a four hour job, for example, do you still have to sit on a plastic chair for the duration?

No I have not and would not sit in a room for four hours,I would say Tesco been longest about 1 hour

Not many for me in NW. Only one recently was in Iceland depot on Warrington Grange. Told them I would drop it and come back for it. Gave them my mobile number and left them to it.

When I did boxes I can remember only one time I was asked not to wait in the cab whilst unloading. However they did allow me to unhitch and park opposite the bays so I could stay in the cab.

I run out of Southampton and In 4mths I’ve not had 1 rdc delivery, I’m only on days and we have other big contracts away from rdc’s but I’m sure a few trampers get lumbered. [emoji851][emoji851]

I haven’t had to use a waiting room yet. Though Tesco is the only RDC I’ve been to on this job and we drop and swap there.

Majority of places that involve long hand ball tips don’t tend to be the sort of places that have waiting rooms, unusual to even be asked for your keys in my experience. RDCs will either let you stay in your cab, let you drop the trailer or have a drop & swap arrangement in place, I’ve certainly never heard of any place that expects you to sit in a waiting room for a lengthy handball tip.

Can only think of a handful of occasions I have been asked to sit in a waiting room with a container & they were all straight forward palletised loads.
