question for betz or anybody who knows really,
I’ve seen increasing numbers of a polish firm called POL-MAT and the letters on the trucks are exactly like those on willi betz and they are pulling betz fridges with the fleet numbers on but the name taken off (you can still see the clean bit where the letters were)
my question is are they a division of betz, maybe to get around some prosecution or tax bill maybe?

Yes Pol-Mat are belong to Willi Betz division. Pol-Mat based in Warsaw & Wroclaw. Pol-Mat company established about 7 years ago but now they start to put Pol-Mat livery on DAF White Supercab trucks. I dont know why Willi Betz decide to put Pol-Mat on his truck fleets instead Willi Betz! I heard Pol-Mat division bought about 60 White Daf Supercab. They got some Polish drivers and SOMAT AG Bulgarian drivers too.
Polish drivers are doing four weeks work away from the home then one week break. Bulgarian are doing more than eight weeks work away from the home!
I have no idea Willi Betz are doing with Pol-Mat, must be something with his play game! you may know that Willi Betz Headquater had relocation to Switerland also Willi Betz decided to withdraw the Germany national work and 281 worker & drivers made redundancies include German, Bulgarian and Hungarian drivers on last xmas.
yes thats them betz, i see them surprisingly more than i see betz liveried trucks.
as for willi’s games he’s just moving from one country to another until he gets into trouble then he’ll move on again 
maybe thats why he’s using the pol-mat trucks to keep the work and his money just with a different name
Just saw one of these tipping in our place tonight, looked brand new (as far as I could make out, it was 03h30). Small Willi Betz stickers on the front of the trailer. Top spec kit, no more wendy house Merc cabs but a Super Space XF coupled to a tri-temp reefer trailer - would have happily swapped trucks (but not pay packets!)
