Off topic but got to pick you up on a point of history.
You say in UK Hitler would have been laughed out of town?
The British Fascist party in the 30s, with similar policies to Hitler, led by Edward Mosely was taken seriously by many, in all classes, they certainly weren’t laughed out of town, but had to be banned with about a thousand of it’s members interred when war broke out, or soon after.Just ignore me and carry on.
Fair comment,but am not sure the strutting, black clad, well-trousered, jack-booted look would of been taken seriously by the majority of the Brits of the time. He was jailed and then freed mid-war after the threat of invasion was over. They were probably interred in case they aided the Nazis if they had invaded.
It is notable that the Govt deemed him such a non-threat they released him even whilst the war was still raging. A clear mark of Churchills class, with the mocking humiliation of Mosely in the sure knowledge that victory was inevitable and Mosely was a mere footnote.
Unfortunately the current invasion is a lot more subtle.
