Hi guys
Passed my class 2 a few weeks ago, I’ve got my dqc as that arrived last week. My licence hasn’t come back and is showing as unclaimed test pass online, I phoned DVLA and after about a hour and a half on hold they said my licence is held up with the medical team and they won’t see any notes or records until next week. Can anybody shed some light on this? I done my medical last year and all that was fine.

Baffles me because the medical would have been looked at in order to get the C provisional 
It’s DVLA, they ain’t got a clue what they are doing so are probably talking total bollox. If they are processing it then that’s a good thing, so just assume it’ll arrive in the relatively near future…ish.
Looks like they processing 18th Oct applications for new ones but that could mean anything.
Apparently,DVLA have recently recruited a load of unemployed French fishermen to help sort out the backlog 
One thing which has become apparent over the last couple of years is that DVLA is not fit for purpose. Moving forward, possibly consideration could be given to moving the whole organisation from South Wales to a part of the UK where people have a better work ethic (which is basically anywhere really).

The local County Councils had done a great job since the start of motor transport and driver licencing.
They called centralisation progress and the rest is history and all so predictable.

Presumably,food,drink,bog roll,heating oil etc. is delivered to DVLA…wouldn’t it be great if delivery drivers of these products “went on strike” for a couple of weeks 
So after all this time from October, my licence is now showing properly online, so hopefully just a few more days and I’ll get a Christmas present from DVLA of my actual licence back in my hand
