Hi all,
So I’m on a 3 month probation period with the company I work for (M I Haulage) in Liverpool, been there there nearly 2 months.
It’s general haulage from, curtainsiders/containers/fridge/flatbeds etc
There’s been talks about doing my ADR so I can collect/deliver containers I keep refusing to get, or P&O trailers with IBC drums I also can’t carry…
So as I’m 19 (20 in a couple months) I done Cpc module 4, can I do ADR as I’m 19 and will it count towards Cpc hours for the next deadline which is 2017 for me?
Hope this wasn’t confusing… Thanks in advance

I have never heard of an age limit for ADR so IMO age has nowt to do with it
If you find an ADR course that is ALSO approved for DCPC then yes, a full 3.5 day ADR course can count for 21 DCPC hours
If you are also doing the ADR tanks course after the 3.5 day basic course then some, not that many, have that approved for 7 hours DCPC
DCPC approved ADR courses will cost a little more - perhaps and extra £75 for 21 hours - to cover the DCPC uploads, admin, overheads etc but £25 for 7 hours is better than at least double for other DCPC courses
ALWAYS ASK THE COURSE PROVIDER if the course is DCPC approved and what the cost is for that
More info on ADR courses with pre course info is available in the ADR sticky in the safety and law forum

Thanks for the response ROG,
I was thinking of Transchem in Warrington, my dads company he works for (Univar) paid for his renewal
And he said it counted towards Cpc his periodic training as he’s an ald get haha.
I just hope my boss will use them and not go for a cheaper option which won’t count towards Cpc

If he does then offer to pay the DCPC bit = well worth it
