Quattro tipper driver needs sacking

Joining the M40 from the M25 today a Quattro tipper driver made every effort to change lane to allow me to join without scrubbing any of my speed. Once I’d joined he also realised I had a slight speed advantage so backed off to let me in sooner instead of elephant racing me.
You sir are not qualified to be a proper tipper driver and should hang your head in shame.

In all seriousness, if you’re on here, thanks. It’s nice to share the roads with other drivers that are aware of what’s happening around them and do still have a bit of roadsense.

It’s you sir that should be sacked!
Never praise another driver!!!

I always pull over, or back off (when safe) to let out another truck from a slip.

I may be falling into your trap here :bulb:  : . but if he had let ME out, I would have backed off one or two clicks to allow him to complete his overtaking manouvre, as I would only have lost about 10 seconds or so, that is how we all used to do it once.

Some would say if it had developed into an elephant race that maybe you had instigated it, but hey, … at least it didn’t as it just ■■■■■■ everybody off, car and trucker alike.

Sorry Rob, he let me out, I let him pass, pull in and then went for the overtake once he was back in lane 1.
I know that’s how it used to be done and it was just nice to be driving along with someone thinking the same.

Yeh sorry picked you up wrong mate, I also do it that way as you.

Just meant that it’s a bit annoying when you are courteous enough to let somebody out and they leave you hanging, (especially if a knob in a car following him comes up on your inside) not as gut wrenchingly annoying though as getting nearly overtook and being cut in on, now that does ■■■■ me. :unamused:

Bloody disgracefull, probably agency…

On a similar subject, I remember seeing Raymond Blanc on the telly a few years ago and thought he was a rubbish TV chef. The way he went on about food all the time, you’d think he liked the stuff, and he talked to his staff like they were human beings rather than pond scum like proper telechefs like Gordon Ramsey do. He didn’t swear even once! Where was the action?

Just like the Aspray24 nob I moved across for when he was coming out of Corley northbound this morning who thought he was clever by matching my speed and holding me out once he’d emerged. The sanctimonious prick soon stopped smirking when (with my generous speed limiter) I matched him down the hill and even braked when he did and eventually took him down the M42 south even though I absolutely knew he wanted the M6 north! Btw, coming off at the NEC to do a U turn doesn’t do you any favours. Karma, it’s a ■■■■■!

You’ve a very evil man, I like it a lot! :grimacing:
