We are currently having the under run bars sensors and side cameras and front and rear strobes fitted to our tippers where I work as cross rail won’t let you on any of there sites without them you also have to go for a inductions that’s a day long. Your not allowed to use a cb or hands free mobile or the truck phone we have that’s hands free on there site as you will be permantley banned

It wants all the operators to say no to this crap. When T5 at Heathrow was done, they wanted access to our medical records ffs. Our ex TM gave them what they wanted and the drivers never forgot this…When he was “pushed into retirement” none of us supported him and the distrust everytime a course/site rule/customer rulebook is implemented, it’s viewed with suspicion.

Gypsies frighten me, tipper drivers frighten me. Anyone with aggregates, tarmac, concrete, soil all the same to me. Dirty yards, plant machinery, odd bod trailers, shovels, generators, red diesel tanks, pumps. All seems the same to me.
