Anybody heard anything good/bad about them ? Can do class1 and 2 for just under a grand.
I did both my class 1 and class 2 with them.
I found them to be very good, decent kit (54 and 05 plate iveco eurocargos) slapover 8 boxes. Also their kit is ready for the new 2007 regulations .
Class 2 I was with Gary (subcontractor) slightly older iveco cargo. Very good at his job. Easy motor to drive and I passed first time. He will remember me cos I passed with a clean sheet, his first ever!!!
Class 1 (wagon and drag, although they have an eurocargo urban artic on order) was with Jason. Ex Sterling, didn’t like their ways,
Again, very good instructor. I only failed first time on silly mistakes (albeit they were classed as serious)
If you can get a test at Purfleet, they are exempt from weight limits on the test routes so one less thing to worry about.
Also, unlike some schools, you do get a full days training, not driving from one butty wagon to the next.
They also have large discounts for PCV drivers and experienced 7.5ton drivers.
I would have no problem with recommending them, I traveled all the way from Cornwall to train with them cos it was cheaper than training down here.
They may be a relativly new company but they have a lot of experience behind them. (John, the boss, used to be a manager with Sterling)
Give them a try

The examiners carry a letter of authorisation with them stating that they are exempt in the training vehicals.
The school I was with also have a similar authorisation. Although I’m not sure if it is with the vehical or the office. We never had any problem with the local plod so they are obviously aware of it and don’t bother trucks sign written for training schools.
As a point of note, my test rout took me through the centre of Grays through a couple of 7.5t weight limits…a bit tight in a wagon and drag, especially the 90 degree corners.

It’s similar at Gloucester. The test centre, and a good proportion of the test routes are within the 7.5 tonne weight restriction.
Common sense prevails. But if anyone were to be challenged, then the obvious reply would be to use the “Except for Access” condition whereby it was necessary to visit the test centre to ‘consult’ with the Examiner staff.
Wolverhampton is the exact opposite. There they will give an instruction to take the ‘Next available left’, the first being a 7.5. tonne weight limit.
When we had to load at Ford in Avely, there were always weight checks to stop trucks cutting through from the A13.
I prefer the method used in Wolverhampton
