Put wrong start date in centre field of analogue tacho

I filled in the wrong start date on my tacho this morning, I realised straight away and left it as it was and wrote on the back of
the chart that it was a mistake and what the correct start date should of been. Is this the correct thing to do?

Thanks

That is absolutely fine.

Thanks for the quick response.

Back in the day, we used to regularly put the wrong date on the card.

Sometimes we failed to check the clock showed the correct time too

Or didnt bother change the blown fuse until the end of the day.

Or had a game of frisbee at the end of the day

Even got a couple of hours down the road before remembering to put it in.

Yes, analogue tachos used to be notorious for winding themselves forward by 12 hours when you were on your way back from Italy. :stuck_out_tongue:

How forgetful we could be at times :unamused:

You’re all a bunch of rogues and going to hell! :imp:

Amazing how a Friday afternoon often suddenly became a Saturday morning…

if id of tried as hard at school as I did to get round analogue tachos I’d probably of done better in life.
Not proud of myself but I was young and keen and wanted to earn extra bucks…
Would I do it now?? Not a chance

& we never used to write our Dads or Brothers Name on it, to get home. [emoji57]

It’s just how it was. A 100 Franc note tucked into your passport before you handed it to Mr Gendarme used to make most tachograph problems disappear fairly quickly. :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL, You’re going to burn Harry, you’re going to BURN!

Expect to be executed with a long bow at midday in the town square.

We may have been ‘forgetful’ at times but we always found time to have a bloody good laugh along the way. Maybe it’s rose tinted spectacles but is it fun today? Depends on the job I suppose.
