Only ever used mine with a mag mount but get very good coverage, only places i sometimes lose it is deep in the welsh valleys and m6 j1-3/3-1 it can be funny.
Fine most of the time, but I always need to re-tune once I’m North of Lockerbie, the re-tune again when I come south.
Mag mount aerial and a line in to the radio and they are fine. The windscreen sticky aerial is crap and if you drive near a big city using the FM broadcast system to pick up on your truck radio it’s a pain in the arse trying to find a freq that’s not got some pirate station on it. When you do find one it’d great for about 15 mins until you’ve moved into range of something else.
But with the mag mount and the line in, I love mine. Planet Rock turned up to 11 every day.
As all ready been said FM transmitter is a waste of time in urban areas due to pirate radio but they work fine with an aux input that most modern trucks have nowadays.and you will need the 18.99 mag mount aerial from ebay as it improves reception 1000% when compared with the wind screen mount
I have the sonichi like the pure highway from halfords and it auto tunes by rds comes with mag mount and works very well …
i use the little sticky and it is a bit naff
defo geta mag mount if you want spot on reception.
Planet rock is great love Alice at night
shame that travel radio has been dropped
Listening to Planet Rock now, no ads between 0100 and 0600 and Alice Cooper between 2100 and 0100 very short ads if any
Perfect for a night driver such as myself
