pulleyn transport

After running 8 wheelers, my 1st bender was an ex Pulleyn F12, it served me well and I bloody regret selling it, if anyone knows were it is please let me know, cheers Sepo

I went into Pulleyns a while ago and Asked did they have any pictures of the Merk Tippers, these are 2 I took in the 80’s

I remember those Mercs well

We had a muck shift in Oxford around 86 and they put them on it

Think they were brand new at the time

they would of been 250 bhp V6 them Mercedes 8 wheelers. couldn’t pull skin off rice pudding.

Yes in comparison to now yes I agree, but they were very few lorries back then that would overtake them, The C Reg one was one of two owned by Pulleyns, of the First four Merc 8 Leggers the other 2 that first came over were for a Demolition Company in near Portsmouth.

Did you work for Sheenans ? or for Moulds

Worked for Sheehans

Was on the Gloucester Green Develpment in the centre of Oxford

Nearly 40 years ago, I can’t remember that, I know we did a lot out of Abingdon, and on the way up collect Type 1, from Theale.
