Puddle Hopper dress code

Do people who drive puddle hoppers, all have a universal dress code? Must of counted about 30 over the course of the day all wearing baseball caps and hi vis vests. Just wondering that’s all.

i have the same dress code as when i started driving. black polo shirt, black pants. hi vis[ only in ditribution centres ]

I think you mean " Must have counted…"

Or is this apparently random misuse of words and/or punctuation a Class One thing? Just asking, like…

Well I wear black polo, black pants (supplied by my firm) and a sleeveless hi-viz, BUT no baseball cap (especially not the expensive ones, where the bill of the cap is on the back). A lot of the places I go require hi-viz and safety shoes/boots, and all the scrapyards require a hard hat too. What’s wrong with that?

Jellyfox, what do you wear?

If we’re going to go on about what we wear to work - blue cargo trousers and a blue shirt

You again, stop pulling people up about there grammar, what the duck has it got to do with you

Blue dickies trousers black polo shirt and I’ve got a 45 2xl on back

blue cargo pants and blue polo supplied by my agency saftey boots
when exiting the vehicle either hi viz coat or vest dependant on the weather black knit cap hard hat where required

i choose to wear a hi viz when on multidrop /parcels as whenever getting on and off the truck on a public road feel safer being a lot more visible with most drivers inability to see a driver alongside his vehicle

think it looks a lot smarter than the grey singlet baggey jogging bottoms beloved of some class ones i see :unamused:

What the duck has it to do with the OP what other people choose to wear while at work? By the same token, if I choose to ask a question, what business is it of yours?

Their. Not there. Just saying like!! Oh yeah, also end a questioning sentence with a question mark.

Maybe its because they are just starting out in their
driving career and dont know about the fantastic
range of furry clogs, checked shirts and wallets
on chains that are available.

I sort of assumed those “mistakes” were deliberate. Then again, maybe he’s just a thick ■■■■.

It’s the why always wear a hi viz when driving thing that comes up on here often , I wear mine from the moment I get in the yard to the moment I leave ,I guess this is a class 2 thing as we are probably in & out the cab on a more regular basis & more often at the roadside…mines Orange for no other reason than I like the colour , it matches my hard hat & gloves & looks smart over my black polo & trousers…

Mines pink because it matches my boots.

Blue polo, black cargo’s, HI-VIZ (that’s actually that dirty its more of a LO VIZ  ) and steel toe boots.

It REALLY doesn’t need to be any more!

B…

A polo shirt, YSL jeans and brown dealer boots. In winter a Black MA2 jacket. Yes, I have to wear a hi-viz over the top of those and the dealer boots have to be steelies, but you won’t see me in cargo pants or black chukka boots. I detest both of them.

From feet up, steel toe cap boots, ‘work socks’ black cargo trousers, what ever colour boxers I manage to grab, company navy polo shirt. I wear hi viz in our yard and anywhere else that requires it.

what is a puddle hopper?
black safety boots £20

sequinned ■■■■■■■
blue jeans £7
“plain” T-shirt £2
braces (if you no longer have a waist to support a belt) which prevents trouser decline which in turn prevents proper load lifting technique which results in back injury
plain polo shirt £3
gilet £20 which has many zip pockets
hi-viz (all the time, even in bed
